WINTERSTART RESULTS

12-2-2012

SKYWAY

The new cross country ski racing season in Colorado was initiated at Skyway with two 5K races. The snow was thin but adequate for great racing with a lot of care from our excellent groomers. And fast! This year, just like last year, Keegan Swirbul of Aspen Valley Ski Club won the Classic race and Tre Anastasia of Colorado Mesa U. Ski Team won the Freestyle but both did it over 3 minutes faster than last year. Similar fast times were posted by racers on down through the standings. Christie Aschwanden took her usual position as fastest woman in both races followed in both by CMU racer Brooke Bosman. Everybody agrees it’s fun when it’s fast and it’s just great to be on snow again.
