April 1 Grooming Update
No, it’s no April Fool’s Joke — when all is said and done, by Friday night, we will probably have another 2 feet of fresh snow on the Mesa…. Because of the amount of drifting and work to be done, Jon will start grooming at 1 p.m. tomorrow (Friday) to get things in shape for some fine skiing on Saturday and Sunday. We intend to have the entire track system groomed out — this could be one of the last good weekends (of course, I’ve been saying that for 3 weeks now!), so take advantage…. Low tonight of 4 degrees, high of 21 degrees with snow tapering off tomorrow afternoon. There is a slight chance of snow through the weekend with highs around 29 degrees Saturday and a low of around 15 degrees. Winds are expected to kick up Saturday afternoon to 15 to 20 mph, so might want to stick to the trees. Sunday’s high looks to be a bit warmer, around 35 degrees. Depending upon weather, we may do a bit of touch-up grooming Tuesday afternoon and then do more extensive grooming on Friday afternoon. Happy skiing!
Leslie
