Well, we got about 5-6 inches of snow on top of the Mesa, and it was just tapering off when I left at 5 pm. Should be a great day tomorrow for the Barnelopet, with sunny skies and a high around 33 degrees.
Jon did some grooming this afternoon, for which some hearty Skyway skiers were very grateful (playing follow the groomer), grooming out Sunset/Winslow, Lion’s, Vista (Ridge), Kannah Crossing, parts of Loop 2, and Loop 3, and back Scales Lake. He also groomed out our race course for the kids tomorrow, and will be back at it tomorrow morning at 7 am to re-groom the race course, as well as finishing up the rest of the trails at Skyway/County Line.
We decided to defer grooming at Ward until tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. It should be a great day for classic skiing with the new powder — I thoroughly enjoyed the peacefulness at County Line late this afternoon having freshly groomed trails and complete solitude. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful resource available to us, and I hope everyone realizes that…. Happy skiing!
